Davina Boldin-Woods

Davina Boldin-Woods serves as the Chief Education and Enrichment Officer of Excel Christian Academy, a ministry of Ebenezer United Church of Christ. Since 2006 Mrs. Woods has been accountable for implementing the work, mission, and vision of Excel.  She daily develops, manages and coordinates the students and staff of Ebenezer’s unapologetically Christian, five-star early education academy.

Mrs. Woods began her career as an education professional in 1993 and continues to advocate for equitable access to high-quality educational experiences for all young minds. A graduate of North Carolina A&T State University and Alamance Community College she possesses degrees in Child Development and Family Relations as well as Early Childhood Education. Mrs. Woods also maintains a North Carolina Birth-Kindergarten Teaching License and is currently pursuing her Master’s Degree in Education at UNC-G.

Passionate about education, Mrs. Woods consistently seeks an array of opportunities and experiences which encourage children to explore and embrace the world around them. As an appointee of former Governor Michael Easley, she has served on the North Carolina Child Care Commission as well as the Board of Directors for the Alamance Partnership for Children and the Children’s Museum of Alamance County. She is currently a member of North Carolina A&T State University’s Family and Consumer Science Advisory Board.

Born in Pittsfield, Massachusetts Davina is married to Reverend Christopher A. Woods Sr. and together they have two children, Chris Jr., and Cierra.
